With this disbursement, Ukraine will have received nearly 20 billion euros ($21.7 billion) under the Ukraine Facility since the program was launched in early 2024

I was reminded this week about the many questions Lahaina, Hawaii is grappling with in restoring the historic waterfront and dependence on tourism, etc. in the wake of the destructive wildfire there--similar questions will arise in North Carolina. (mom and pop shops, tourism, code compliance with current building standards, whether and how to rebuild the business district, and in Lahaina sea level rise models which show there are areas that will flood as the oceans rise).
