Here's how I envision how actual picture control could look like, since I believe all these things are intertwined.
Now, to push this concept further, let's imagine the dots aren't bound to the squares, but the controls are trackball-like, providing greater precision, and, possibly, boundless adjustments.
This, of course, is a very rough concept based on an idea I had today, at cruising altitude. I am not planing to implement this.

I realised that while I do share a lot of pictures made with Saulala, I rarely share the process.
