Upgraded from 16 to 32 GB RAM on my 2018 Alienware Aurora R7 pc, which has only seen an SSD as an upgrade till now.

The difference is phenomenal. So snappy and smooth now.

Does anyone also get that the bash command:

sudo apt full-upgrade

and (edit:)

sudo apt upgrade

on a #raspberrypizero2w #RaspberryPizero causes the #USB interface
as shown by the bash command #lsusb :

to fail to detect any USB devices?

Edit: My workaround: plug in a #hub and the devices in the hub are detected. Very odd indeed. The original OS was 64 bit lite.

I finally got my #Ubuntu desktop upgraded! I went from a first generation Intel Core i3 with 16 GB of RAM, to a fancy new motherboard and an 8-core AMD Ryzen 7 Pro 1700 with 64 GB of RAM.

I also replaced my measly Nvidia video card with 2 GB of RAM to a pretty decent GeForce GTX1650 with 6 GB of RAM.

@Viss I can FINALLY play Half-Life 2 at native resolution on my big monitor!

Derzeit ist es nicht möglich, ein Upgrade von Ubuntu 24.10 auf 25.04 anzustoßen. Der Upgrade-Pfad wurde aufgrund eines Fehlers im Installer von Kubuntu und weiterer bisher nicht geklärter Umstände bereits am Karfreitag vorerst offline genommen.

Il y a quelques mois, j'ai récupéré un iMac datant de 2011. Pas de mises à jour de MacOS possible, j'ai donc installé Linux/Ubuntu dessus. Clef USB, booter en appuyant sur ALT et hop, c'est parti. Y a quelques vidéos sur internet pour se rassurer.

Also das lief gut mit Windows Server 2025. Konnte gestern wirklich alle vorbereitenden Arbeiten abschließen. Durch die aktuelle PowerShell haben wir eine Vielzahl an Tools wieder zur Verfügung. Und endlich ein eigenes privates LAN zum Linuxserver. Und 8 statt 4 Kernen im didicated Server. Ein erster Test zeigt eine großartige Performance Anfang Mai kann ich damit umschalten und endlich Windows 2016 in Rente schicken #upgrade #cloud #windowsserver2025
