Plex getting rid of Watch Together is DUMB and they should feel bad.

Yeah THIS is something I'm upset about. There's no reason to remove watchtogether. Leaving it in the website is just a distraction.

And while this article namechecks JellyFin. It's not really a solution. Because the primary purpose doesn't work there.
