EPYC 9845 is AMDs top-end SKU for 400 Watts or less that allows for 160 dense cores per socket compared to the 128 core EPYC 9754 Bergamo. Effectively the same power level and 25% more -- and better (#Zen5C) cores.
Simply upgrading BIOS and swapping CPU withouta memory upgrade and any increased power/cooling requirements while achieving 1.36x performance is a very persuasive upgrade.

AMD expands its Zen 5 architecture. Unlike Intel, which has to reduce clock speeds when its processors run #AVX512 workloads, AMD says these powerful instructions will run at the same clock speeds as standard integer operations. Clark also expanded on how the company achieved that feat and said that its #Zen5c cores can also run full AVX512.

The top-end #Ryzen9000 has 16 cores and 32 threads and runs at 5.67 GHz turboed up, and the Zen 5 cores are averaging 16% more instructions per core than #Zen4.
