#History: It's hard not to think back to #1930s when hearing of #Trump's treatment of #Ukraine. Before #WW2, #Czechoslovakia built 10K #bunkers to prepare for #nazi assault, and never got a chance to use them, because a similar kind of treacherous "#diplomacy" in the West made them give all that up to the enemy in '38 - after that, Europe was ripe for taking. #neveragain

Large corporations are shopping for underground bunkers that can survive a nuclear blast, and the first adopters are mostly cryptocurrency firms, says @Semafor. The facilities are designed to protect data centers and C-suite execs, and cost tens of millions to build. The pitch? The apocalypse. "The more worries there are in the headline news, the more people look for solutions," Larry Hall, owner of Survival Condo said from his company's bunker in Kansas, a 54,000-square-foot space with a rock wall and hydroponics farm.

flip.it · Corporations dig deeper: using bunkers to secure data (and their CEOs)By Rachyl Jones

I dont think humans would survive in a bunker very long

or would want to

think about it: what's the most likely non-perishable food you're gonna have? beans!

beans can make one gassy

unless that bunker has a vent, it's just gonna smell like farts

thats the Fallout Vault experiment I want...how long does it take for a 1000 population Vault to die from their own farts

The south will suffer in the short term, we will all in the long term. I doubt whether even the rich will be happy to live their short lives, enshortened because the people who provide the drugs they will need will be around.

Counting your useless gold while the world around you burns is no way to live.
