The Legend of Kyrandia is a 1992 adventure game by Westwood Studios and Virgin Games. It starts a trilogy in the fantasy land of Kyrandia. Brandon, the wizard Kallak’s grandson, has to defeat Malcolm, the evil jester, and save the kingdom. The game is humorous, with great graphics. The music was composed by Frank Klepacki.

In floppy version 1.0 of #LegendOfKyrandia 1, when Brandon dies crossing the lava bridge, his normally white dialog text turns red as he cries "Oh Shit! I'm burnin!"
Later versions changed it to just "I'm burning!" without the text color change. #kyrandia #adventuregames
Some more early screenshots of the first Legend of Kyrandia game. By this point the game had pivoted from a CRPG hybrid in the vein of Quest for Glory to a more standard adventure.
However, the GUI in these images shows that Brandon's amulet at one point had six gems instead of four.
