Tempted to do a 10-park #POTA rove now that there are 10 in walking distance of each other in Christchurch...

Or the alternative strategy is just to wait until Durlston Head becomes a 10-fer by itself. It's currently 6 overlapping references and rising.

Biking POTA ... This is a parks on the air on a bike. Did a quick 10 miles ride and stopped off to do a POTA.

Get a way from the nonsense, enjoy nature. Get exercise for the revolution. Get prepared, be prepared, but don't be a prepper ... lol

A few interesting things from my #POTA activations over my long weekend:

• Working an op who used a metal carport roof for an antenna, and seemed surprised it was working so well. 😜

• The multiple QRP stations I worked that were S6 or more.

• The op in Oregon who was so loud I thought they were standing next to me, running 50W into an EFHW.

All proving that ideal gear and tons of power are really not essential to having fun with #hamradio. They're nice, just not essential.

Well, I did, in fact, join the club today, operating CW for the first time during a #POTA activation, while I was in New Mexico at US-0460.

I logged 10 QSOs before switching to SSB, primarily because I found that I need paddles with the ability to set a much greater spring tension. I was afraid that'd be an issue with what I have, and it was.

But, I did it, and will do so again — no question about it!

I went to the beach this morning, and wore myself out riding my #bike 10 miles. I then setup my #HamRadio to my kite. There wasn’t much of a wind, so it barely got into the air, and would sometimes fall to the ground. But since I was at a state park, I was about to do a #POTA Park to Park to NM. And now I’m home, relaxing.
