"Roll Over Beethoven" is a 1956 song written by #ChuckBerry, originally released on #ChessRecords, with "Drifting Heart" as the #Bside. The lyrics of the song mention #rockAndRoll and the desire for #rhythmAndBlues to be as respected as #classicalMusic. The song has been #covered by many other artists, including the #RollingStones and #theBeatles (both in 1963). Rolling Stone magazine ranked it number 97 on its 2004 list of the "500 Greatest Songs of All Time".

There is this rumor that the #Beatles once made a fake record with an unreleased song of theirs under a different name in order to test if people just bought everything with their name on it or really liked the music. The audience however liked the song very much and wanted to hear more songs from the fictitious band. (It might be true, it might be a joke Lennon told to an interviewer, or it might be just a rumor.
