I've been looking all over my house over the past few weeks looking for these cute patch cables I bought from a friend years ago. She was starting up a business selling eurorack modules at the time, and she's since closed it down. I was starting to worry I might have given these away. I didn't know anything about eurorack at the time, but I figured I could probably find a use for the patch cables.
@aeva those are really cute! ^^ Semi-related do you use a color code for cables in your patches?
@squibbons nope. the set that came with my minibrute2s are all one length and one color so I don't have a system right now, but I figure now that I found my set my patches will be a little easier to keep track of if I alternate colors. i think ad-hoc meaning will be more useful for me while i'm learning and experimenting than following a type code of some kind, but that's just my preference.
@aeva ah! yeah, tbh, i never actually used a code either, but those colors made me think of it. i think mine are mostly colored via length more than anything because that is just how i had purchased them
@aeva oh they're gorgeous!!!!
@aeva Hey, I have a few like that! They're good cables!
@aeva Those look a lot like Winterbloom (https://winterbloom.com/) cables. In a couple of days there will be a last chance to buy more of those as they're closing the business.
@ooze well spotted!
@aeva
I only know some of those words but I wanted to thank you for sharing an aesthetic image. Unsure if art or if I'm just stressed and think it's pretty
