Today I'm designing for Arachnophobia accessibility! A member of our community, @LadyIrene requested this and it's a great challenge for us given one entire creature family in our game is spider themed!
A recent accessibility feature I enjoyed was turning off Mom texts in Boyfriend Dungeon. As someone who lost a parent at a young age, parents in video games have unintentionally cut me deep for years.
What accessibility features have brought you the most joy?
@drmikachu @LadyIrene Now I don't suffer from Arachnophobia, but I really like how #Webbed handled this by replacing its spider protagonist with a cute little fur ball. Also, in #Grounded there's a setting to gradually remove features from spider enemies, leaving only two floating blobs and a pair of red eyes at the highest level.
I'd say the House Rules in #RogueLegacy2 have brought me the most joy personally. Without the ability to half the enemies' HP, I'd probably have just stopped at NG+.
@njamster Very cool! I knew about the Grounded one but not about Webbed! I'll have to check out Rogue Legacy 2 also, thanks for sharing
