Looking at buying a rice cooker. 0.8 liter capacity should be fine for 2 people right? We're basically only gonna cook Japanese white rice for stuff like Japanese curry or donburi
EDIT: I don't really want a bunch of leftover rice or to make enough rice to be eating it for days. Just enough for a meal
EDIT2: according to my research 0.8L capacity means it should cook a little under 4.5 cups of rice
@eniko we bought this super basic one, it’s 500ml and it’s plenty big enough for 2 (we eat 100-125g dry rice per meal) https://www.lakeland.co.uk/62569/lakeland-mini-electric-rice-cooker#product-details-accordion
@eniko TBF we eat what Americans call a “side dish” amount of rice per person (50-60g dry, 1/4 cup each), but you could definitely fit double that in a 500ml cooker, although that would be massively too much rice for us. US portions are insane
@sinbad i usually wouldn't eat a ton of rice either so it sounds 800ml should be more than enough
