On a related note, look at what the Unity fiasco has done for all of open source. This is a big moment.

@njamster @hmans Blender also really took off as soon as Epic gave them the 2.000.000 Mega Grant. Sometimes it takes these kinds of kickstart signals to show others that things are getting serious now. Hope this helps as well. :)
