Weird tiny pet peeve of the day that I have no real emotional investment in: Devs mentioning their framework/engine/tech stack in their bio without context.
If your bio says "Godot dev", does that mean you're a #Godot user developing your own game, or are you part of the Godot team developing Godot itself?
If you're a "Flutter dev", do you develop Flutter, or develop WITH Flutter?
It gets weirder with software that's just tangentially a development platform.
I would assume that someone calling themselves a "Roblox dev" works for the company making Roblox. Not just some Roblox user.
@lianna *after checking own profile*: <whisper>I think I'm good...</whisper>
@lianna mmm yeah, I can see that.
I like trying new things so I don’t try to label myself under any particular tool, but I do mainly use Godot
@raccoonformality I mean that's totally fine, haha. It was just about the phrasing. "Godot dev" is ambiguous. Either "part of the Godot dev team" or "game dev using Godot" would clarify the situation.
