@lritter
Autogenerate CW from content. It's CW not HW and content classification is a problem for which a wealth of solutions exist.

@lritter In the end the idea of author set CWs is flawed, because it assumes that the author knows the reader's preferences.
My idea for manual process is having authors classify their content in categories without own judgement and having readers choose which they want to read. They can even change their preferences any time they want.
Automatic classification is another approach. I mean simple bayes filters are like 30 years old and for many purposes a keyword filter would be enough.

@allo like i suggested, from hashtags. manual CW was a mistake

@lritter Hashtags increase discoverability. You may not want this, especially for sensitive posts, and I would not want to make people add them just to make my filter work.

@lritter What about I want a post in the local timeline here, but not to add hashtags about sensitive topics, because I do not want the post to appear in the hashtag timelines? The point would be to have a kind of silent hashtags.
My idea about this would be post categories, because with a (more or less) fixed number of categories people choose the same category even when they would use different hashtags for the same post.

@allo so you want to be popular but not *that* popular

@lritter
Maybe I also want to be found in the timelines for the positive hashtags but not in a timeline made of posts that need a warning.

@lritter just use ai to generate them and manually curate the end result, obviously
@lritter yeah it's overkill, though perhaps with a browser extension text content warnings could easily be generated without even thinking

@lritter I wonder if Joo Janta 200 Super-Chromatic Peril Sensitive Sunglasses work on toots.
