"Multiple investigators asking me whether the ongoing #PuertoRico power #blackout was #solarstorm related. At the present time I cannot exclude the possibility that geomagnetically induced currents (GICs) played a role. The power failure occurred within several hours of the storm peak at G4-levels yesterday.
That coupled with the fragility of the grid and the increased power consumption expected during the daytime hours (it was 12:40p local time), means the grid was stressed in multiple ways. Since transformer heating from GICs is a slow process, the several-hour delay from the peak storm intensity is consistent. This is a troubling development."

Jen pro rychlej update - #rekonstrukce jde podle plánu takže #blackout skončil.
Asi bych se měl zamyslet nad záložní variantou, jak mít možnost zfunkčnit 230V rozvod aspoň kvůli topení.
Tak jako tak jsme přežili ve zdraví a #kids si včerejší černou hodinku užívaly vzájemným vyprávěním pohádek 
Venku svítá, doma v obýváku mi hlavice na topení hlásí 17°C .. kotel tiše nekotlí a #blackout nebyl sen a dále pokračuje.
#Rekonstrukce dneska pokračuje a mělo by se odpoledne snad svítit a topit. Zatím svítí mobil a powerbanky jdu nechat nabít do garáže, ať si má Lenka čím nabít telefon.
Vlastně si myslim, že tohle "cvičení" by si měl vyzkoušet každej, je to hezká zkouška připravenosti na potencionální problém.
Aspoň že voda a plyn tečou, takže máme #kafe
#Rekonstrukce jde podle plánu - máme #blackout celýho baráku, kterej se pravděpodobně dneska nepodaří vyřešit. Ale za mě je to v pohodě - voda teče, jen ten kotel mě při -5°C v noci trochu mrzí. Naštěstí ale máme jednu stranu baráku už zateplenou, takže sklenice je z půlky plná 
Nabíjím powerbankou jinou powerbanku, abych měl nabitou helmu i sluchátka na zítra do práce.
Myslíte si, že když zapojím powerbanky do smyčky, vznikne generátor volný energie?
