I also never got around to making the timelapse video for #LD53, so i've uploaded that as well! :)

My best jam result yet. Out of 491 compo entries I got 54th in overall and 38th in fun. Super happy with it. #ldjam #LudumDare #ld53
A typical Tuesday in a life of the Delivery Boy in space.
From our physics-based space-bicycle-delivery-boy simulator for Ludum Dare 53. The physics in Godot 4.x proved to be pretty alright!

I wrote quite the 'hexpressive' post-mortem for our #LD53 entry 'Hexpress'
I swear I die a little inside every time our #LudumDare entry (which is a very on-the-nose parody of dragon quest) gets comments on. "How much they liked my take on the undertale battle system" or comments on how it's "a 2d rpg like zelda!". I'm 37 but these comments are making me feel like I'm 200 years old O_x...
This past weekend I took part in #LD53 with #pico8 - great little game engine for game jams! Quite happy with how it ended up, but at some point I have to learn how to make game jam entries that I can expand and turn into something bigger. Still, making short arcade games is fun as hell!
Go have a look and rate it if you entered the jam:

Or just play it at

(works on PC and mobile)
Second half of Alea Ludum Dare is a web page that will give you a random LD game.
No setup required, just go on the page, click on a button and enjoy a random game from the current Ludum Dare.
You can test it there : https://axelvborn.github.io/AleaLudumDare/
Overall, Alea Ludum Dare was a fun experiment with the LD API, adding new ways to access LD games with Random which I think would be nice to have in LD.
You can check Alea Ludum Dare on the LD website : https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/53/alea-ludum-dare
I took part in @ludumdare last weekend and I ended up doing something a bit unusual and quite meta.
Ludum Dare means "to give a game" which relates heavily the theme Delivery, so I chose to explore how games are delivered in LD.
It ended up giving Alea Ludum Dare, a new way to get LD games.
First half of it is a browser extension that adds a new Sort Filter to the LD website : Alea.
Once picked, it will give you a random selection of games.
Wowee, I worked on a game for #ld53! It's been a hot second since I've been part of a real game jam, but I'm very proud of the work my team did.
This was my first time writing a game for the #playdate and my first time truly working as a programmer on a project. Was way out of my wheelhouse, but we got something pretty good up and running. :)
Feel free to check it out, here's the #ludumdare page!

Note to self: never switch from debug to release untested while tired...I uploaded an actual non-broken build this time, as well as added a windows cross-compile.
(also the actual ludum dare page, not just the itch.io page hosting it...)
I submitted "Cuckoo Delivery", a game made using the #GodotEngine for the #LD53 Jam!
Pick and deliver the packages as fast as you can.. The more the better!
Play it now! ldjam.com/events/ludum-d…
️ Unreasonable Deadlines:
Collect as many packages as you can while fighting traffic.

STARFLAIL is out!
A game where you deliver cargo to distant planets... and use that cargo to defend yourself!
Ever dream of becoming a travelling salesman ? or in this case, delivering parcelman ?
https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/53/delivering-parcelman
In this LD game, you get to solve the classic travelling salesman problem ... manually.
Our Ludum Dare 53 entry can now be played at https://runicpixels.itch.io/hexpress
It was a lot of fun to make this with Flashkirby, Io_Eris and Kazzymodus!~
Another ludum dare down! (Teamed up with a friend of mine for the art again) Once again...planned WAY too much and spent a good portion of the time cutting everything back. Ended up making a fairly complex Dragon Quest 1 style game in C++/SDL2, ended up just being single file. One of these day's I'll actually scope right. But hey, it has some rough edges but it does play fairly well!
