Great time last night at Rocky Horror Picture Show. Some excellent costumes and a fun always entertaining, always interactive movie experience.
Went to see #RockyHorror on Friday night at the Metro #YEG. 
Used to go during university in Toronto, but that was a looong time ago now, and seeing it again with a fresh perspective decades later was interesting. Hard to believe that weird little movie will be 50 next year. What a vast cultural change it’s seen and maybe even participated in! There could be (and maybe were) entire theses written on its changing relevance and interpretation through the years - would love to read them. #RHPS

Actually, you know what? I'm not upset at missing the Rocky Horror call-out show tonight. I'll chalk the $30 up to a learning experience.
Because on our way out of the theater post-Shining, after putting on our masks because we are socially responsible and inclined towards sensibility and respect for our fellow human beings -- and for the record, for The Shining, we were properly distanced because the cinema wasn't anywhere NEAR full...
Nobody was wearing a mask. Okay, there were one or two folks.
A scrum with everyone shouting callouts and screaming 'Three More Triangles' and generally being raucous?
Screw that. I'm glad we're home and safer than we'd be with that fuckery.

I was ready to refute this claim that the term "Easter egg" comes from the production of Rocky Horror, like "nuh uh videogames called it that first," but actually, the dates check out. I can't vouch any further than that, but the dude at Atari who is credited with coining the term, didn't use it until years after the RHPS Easter egg hunt, so maybe!
