I do think that if I had to choose one word to which hope can be tied it is hospitality. A practice of hospitality -- recovering threshold, table, patience, listening, and from there generating seedbeds for virtue and friendship on the one hand -- on the other hand radiating out for possible community, for rebirth of community.

@claasgefroi In den 1920er Jahren gab es eine Menge Reform-Schulen im Deutschen reich. Seit dem Nationalsozialismus herrscht wieder die preussische Schulordnung des Frontalunterrichts.
In den 1970er Jahre kamen die Ideen von #PauloFreire (Pädagogik der Unterdrückten) und #IvanIllich (schafft die Schulen ab!) und belebten die Schul-Landschaft. Dann ging es wieder zurück in den Frontal-Unterricht ... mit bunten Medien und Geräten ... und dem Bankiers-System, mein Wissen in eure Köpfe, Benotung ..
