Natürlich sind #MdB wohlhabend & zu einem großen Teil selbst #Vermieter_innen die werden also kaum gegen ihre eigenen #Interessen entscheiden.
Aber darüber hinaus hat sich inzwischen in #Deutschland ein sehr unangenehmes #Netzwerk von #Politik, #Medien & vermieternahen #Lobbyorganisationen/ #ThinkTanks etabliert, dass versucht JEGLICHEN #Mieterschutz schon im Keim zu zerstören. Bereits als pure Möglichkeit.
L'IEDM fait encore parler de lui pour ses connexions avec l'extrême-droite.
Je suis pas étonné-e. J'ai connu plus intimement l'IEDM dans les années 2006-2008, alors qu'il était plus ouvertement du côté du libéralisme économique «traditionnel».
À l'époque, Martin Masse était un des leaders majeurs des cercles libertariens au Québec et il était en pleine ascension, notamment au sein de think tanks comme le Mises Institute, l'Institut Fraser et l'IEDM.
Martin Masse était comme un genre de proto-Éric Duhaime. S'il a fini par être éclipsé médiatiquement par ce dernier, c'est probablement parce qu'il maîtrisait moins bien l'art du buzz.
Masse et sa gang (dont Jean-Luc Migué, un ultraconservateur absolument délirant) animaient les séminaires étudiants de l'Institut Fraser qui étaient systématiquement infiltrés par des étudiant-e-s de gauche (dont moi). Ces séminaires étaient semi ou officiellement co-organisés par l'IEDM (me souviens plus).
Et c'est dans ces séminaires que j'ai entendu une grande partie des pires énormités de ces années-là.
C'était une des premières fois que j'étais témoin d'une parole aussi décomplexée, aussi crue. Ça applaudissait le travail d'enfants dans des sweat-shops, ça disait que la pollution existait pas au Canada, ça disait «Moi, je m'en câlice si t'es malade» (sans ironie) en parlant du système de santé public qu'il fallait selon eux privatiser.
Les gens qui disaient ça, c'était des profs de cégep et de HEC, des économistes «renommés», des historiens, des militants du PLQ, etc.
Ces think tanks essayaient à l'époque de se donner une image publique respectable mais ils portaient déjà une idéologie absolument mortifère.
Ce qu'on voit aujourd'hui, c'est juste la continuité de ça.
