I'm not sure if -3³ = -27. But it should be. Right?

(-3)^2 is a completely different thing :D

I know (-3)² = 9 and -(3²) = -9, but I'm not sure what would differentiate -3² as the latter and not the former

So it's not a 100% consensus thing (yet?), but majority and best practices prioritize the exponent in the order of operations
