Oregon Democrats unveil $1.9 billion transportation funding plan
I'd argue for NOT taxing bikes to get more people on them, but that's not absurd.
What is absurd are "directives from U.S. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy that federal funding should go toward states with high marriage and birth rates, no vaccine or mask mandates and that are committed to working with the federal government to enforce Trump’s immigration policy".

An equal protections lawsuit will be filed in Oregon on Monday to argue that protections against genital mutilation be extended to all children regardless of the child's assigned sex.

“This callous action underscores Providence’s prioritization of profits over the well-being of caregivers and the patients they serve,” the nurses union said in response to Providence’s warning. “Rather than punishing nurses and jeopardizing lives, Providence executives - who earn millions in salaries - should focus on settling a fair contract.”
