We’ve been attending Experience Theater Project shows in #beaverton and #pdx for a few years, but they moved into a dedicated space off 185th a little bit ago. Their first play in their new home is Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, and it’s great!

There’s no “stage,” instead the audience sits in and amongst the rooms/areas where the actors perform. Fantastic date night or first-timer experience.

Anyone play #BoardGames in southwest #Portland or #Beaverton or #Tigard?

I just got back from my first session at the Stumptown Gamecrafters' Guild. It's a group that gets together every Monday night in Tigard to design and playtest boardgames!

Tonight I playtested a lillypad game inspired by Frogger, then a boardgame version of Frisbee Golf.

OPB recently published an article about the group. Check it out!

Crazy juxtaposition; I had just spent 20 minutes reading crazy stuff on the #Beaverton site and then read this on Musk, sexual grooming, and the #Guardian. And it almost seemed like I'd transitioned into some kind of dark, dark Beaverton. Weird.

If anybody in #Beaverton Oregon wants to buy a #bike, here are my experiences with two local shops.

Trek Bicycle seemed to be uninterested in helping me. I was in there for five minutes, and they ignored me. When someone finally offered to help, he seemed to think I was an inconvenience.

Cascade Bikes was the opposite. Super helpful. They also had a great selection.

I'm thinking of getting a #bike.

I rented a bike in #Portland once. It was harrowing. There were no bike lanes, so I had to ride in traffic.

I'm blind in my left eye. That's the side traffic is on.

I live in the #Beaverton #Hillsboro area, which has some (narrow) bike lanes.

Does anyone have any experience or insight into whether I should even be considering this? I've almost been run over many times as a pedestrian. I assume it will be worse as a cyclist.
