Thanks to everyone who listened to our talk or visited our table at GodotCon in Boston! We had a great time chatting with so many wonderful folks. You all are an inspiration, and we’re energized by your reception of our mission and tools.

We’ll share a bit more about our experience after we’ve all arrived at our respective homes and gotten a good night’s rest. 😊

Replied to BRODUCE

@broduce we've got a pretty great food scene, honestly. It looks like #GodotCon will be at Microsoft NERD near #KendallSquare #CambridgeMA starting Monday May 5th.

I'd say Flat Top Johnny's is an obvious choice; State Park is good; Catalyst for more formal; A4Cade in Roxy's Grilled Cheese is a riot; and for something quick, Flour or Clover are consistently great.

You'll be right on the #MBTA red line, plus we have easy bluebike rentals and great bike infrastructure if your body permits, ours is a very walkable city so I'm sure you'll have a blast, especially if you get up to #DavisSquare or #HarvardSquare.

Keep an eye out for our weekly bostonweekend thread, yeah?

My GodotCon talk about "Making (Non-Game) Software With Godot" is finally online:

:youtube: youtube.com/watch?v=cJ5Rkk5fnG

It's not quite on the level I wanted it to be, but considering that my girlfriend broke up with me just a few days earlier, I'm quite happy with it and the fact I managed to give a talk at all, nonetheless. 😅 But... What's YOUR verdict? 😉

Also, would anybody be interested in an extended, written post about this? 🤔

Continued thread

@godotengine the recording of our presentation/demo is now online, as well. Check it out!

Unfortunately the brief starting and ending demos were not included in this recording; just imagine you saw a little top-down exploration game demo and the question, “How many lines of code do you think it took to make this game?” at the beginning, and then we finished building the other game at the end. :D

Our tech team gathered in Berlin for a week of collaboration, team-building, and an impromptu game jam! We capped it all off by presenting our Block Coding plugin at #GodotCon24. 🎮

We had an amazing time, and it was a pleasure meeting so many of you in person!
