Der Mittzwanziger Ari ist Lehrer an der Grundschule in Paris und zweifelt an seinem Leben. Er trifft seine alte Liebe Irène, Kumpels und seinen Vater, der als hart arbeitender Handwerker seinen Sohn für einen Schwächling hält.
