It's 2019 and apparently we're still putting out solo-able always-online action games where losing server connection anywhere in a mission (with many checkpoints) reverts the character back to the hub area before the start of the mission.
How is this still a thing?

@shivoa Marie and I are playing Monster Hunter right now, and to its credit the one time it lost the server we both got to carry on playing, we just disappeared from each other’s world. Pretty well handled compared to some I’ve seen
