One of my favorite coding fonts, Monaspace, has a new version which includes NerdFonts, so I only need one font for my terminal and it has everything I use for my Starship prompt.

I don't quite get #Monaspace #font. How do you enable all these features? How would my IDE know what variant to pick for example? And how do you enable texture healing? This surely can't just be part of the font, can it?
Ok, the #Monaspace #Fonts are WIIIILD, particularly the cursive one (Radon).
You really need good eyesight for that one, though!
I have tried so many #monospaced #fonts, but I keep coming back to #Inconsolata as pleasant and readable. Latest I tried was the #Monaspace family, but the block "@" sign did them in for me. (Really interesting otherwise though!)

Tried out that #Monaspace font pack that people were buzzing about on here, and it's a hilarious disaster on #Microsoft #Windows 11, which is deeply ironic due to the fact that it was produced by Microsoft #GitHub employees.
We're talking basic stuff here, like being marked as variable width instead of monospace, text showing up in italic by default, etc.
It's just dawning on me that #Monaspace isn't actually saying this font feature is available in #VSCode; it's playing "Tomorrowland World's Fair" over here in the middle of a product launch.
@rhys There are some interesting options with a set of five font families with exactly the same font metrics - could have all code strings using say Radon and the bulk of the code using Krypton with the comments using Neon. I already have multiple fonts in Emacs for some (especially Org mode) but I have not pushed that for programming ... yet. #emacs #monaspace
We launched #monaspace on the birdsite (corp account) and fediverse (my dinky personal mastodon account).
Birdsite: “OMG FONTZ!!!!”
Mastodon: "This is a stunning achievement in the realm of typography”
An oversimplification, but this week I saw a concrete difference in the quality of engagement here. Yeah, it's smaller. But it's better.
I like the new #Monaspace coding fonts by Github. I think I like Krypton the most, followed by Radon for when I want to be silly. https://monaspace.githubnext.com/
New #coding #font just dropped! Given I consider myself an aspiring #typography geek, I embarrassingly had not heard of this #ligature-based trick to make a #fixedWidth font still give more space to some glyphs vs. others. Eager to see how that affects legibility. Going to give it a whirl. #monospace #monaspace #github https://monaspace.githubnext.com
Great, now I want a #PixelPerfect #font (currently using #Spleen 6x12) with #CodeLigatures and #TextureHealing. The latter is an excellent feature; I hope many fonts adopt it.

btw. I don’t get all those fancy code fonts with all those nice details in the letters. Who has monitors that don’t make that look all smushy on reasonable font sizes?
Oh I'm enjoying the new Monaspace Krypton font
It pairs well with F#

Any Sublime Text users trying out #Monaspace? I've got
"font_face": "Monaspace Neon",
"font_options": ["dlig","ss01","ss02","ss03","ss04","ss05","ss06","ss07","ss08"],
"line_padding_top": 1,
... in my settings which, as far as I can understand calt being default, should've given me all the bells and whistles. Not seeing the texture healing though, I think.
(Line padding? Yes line padding. No space between lines when just switching to the Monaspace font otherwise)
GitHub's new Monaspace font pack is interesting.
Excluding the ligatures (which I always loathe) every one of the styles has lots of elements I like and lots I don't. I'm going to give Neon a whirl for a while to see how I like it, but I'm not convinced yet.
Multi-font code editor theme when?
