CN homophobia, rant

Today my son told me that a classmate found my Instagram profile (which contains mostly #pole fitness content) - and shared it with the class.
According to the class I'm
- gay (and they're using that as an insult)
- a stripper (insult again)
- a firefighter

My son doesn't want me to hide anything but knowing that he's already being harassed I don't necessarily agree.

Obviously this is not (only) the kids fault, the parents also didn't do a good job educating their kids about tolerance and diversity. May I scream at all of them?!

It's the conviction that "that which is different must be punished" which gets me. I was naïve and thought that people in our generation learned that such a behavior is not acceptable.
But no, they either haven't learned or at least didn't pass it on to their kids.
