What would 17-year old YOU do if you suddenly discovered you could #teleport and escape your abuser?

I just finished re/reading Steven Gould's 4-book #Jumper series plus the book #Greenwar by him & Laura Mixon. I've read the Jumper #books (plus Gould's Wildside) a zillion times but it was my first read of their collaboration. All six books are un-put-down-able and are the kinds of stories that make this neurodivergent loner guy want to hug the authors & beg for more.

With #Uber & #Lyft pulling services from #Minneapolis July 1, I’m watching for alternatives.

#TRIP seems promising as a #decentralized "#rideshare protol": trip.dev

Built by the same company, #Teleport is the first mobile client using the #opensource network: teleport.xyz — with it still being invite only, my referral link to log in: app.teleport.xyz/rider/refer/C

Anyone with insight or experience with either willing to share? I'm reading there's also #blockchain

www.trip.devTRIP - The Rideshare ProtocolWith TRIP riders pay less, drivers earn more and early adopters get rewarded.

not that i use #teleport for anything today, but it was one of my more interesting propositions in a company i used to work for, so i was following the news.

is the new license particularly bad? nope. what smells is: companies (teleport, #redhat, you name it) use the idea of openness and community as a startup tool, then change the rules.

i wish you guys started with that license from the get go, that would have been honest.

maybe i'm just too annoyingly strict though.
