Not as good as #framework but it is still good to have alternatives.

Be aware of proprietary binary blobs in #firmware and #bios hence I can recommend to also have a look here for other great #laptops:

Lenovo ThinkPad T14 Gen 5 (released in 2024) has a ifixit repairability score of 9/10. Some pros: Storage and memory are readily repairable/upgradeable using industry-standard parts. The battery is easily replaced, and the keyboard replacement procedure is best-in-class. Overall high modularity, apart from a handful of soldered ports and a bundled fan/heat sink assembly.

🇬🇧 Today I bought a 2nd hand Thinkpad. It's my first thinkpad ever and I'm happy with it. In the following days I'm going to install a nice OS on it and in the future it's quite possible that I will replace the BIOS with CoreBoot 😉

Braucht irgendjemand #Coreboot Sticker? Ich habe jetzt mehr als ich selber brauchen kann. 😄

Das vollständige Logo ist 75×59mm groß, der Hase alleine 50×41mm und der Schriftzug alleine 83×19mm. Ich trinke ja nichts, aber diese Bestellung von 3×10 Stück kommt einer bsoffenen Gschicht schon ziemlich nahe. 🙃

Mindestens einer davon landet gleich auf meinem Laptop…
