Hoya purpureofusca at Sakuya Konohana Kan, Osaka, in June 2023. OM-1 + M.Zuiko 60mm f2.8 Macro.
I bought a tiny little starter plant of Hoya Retusa (the Grass Leaved Hoya) just about four years ago now, on Etsy. For a while it looked really weak, but then it seemed to stabilize in its new pot.
It has grown VERY sloooowly for me, but it does a little better each year.
A year ago it produced one tiny blossom. Just one.
Well last night in my office I smelled the distinct fragrance of a hoya flower, but I could not find any blooms on my 'usual suspects' hoyas. But then I finally found THREE little single blossoms happily blooming on my Retusa... yay! It's an appealing sweet light scent. This plant is very undemanding and looks very pretty hanging in the window with its delicate grasslike fronds.

One of my Hoya plants popped out a surprise bloom. This one must've loved the warm, dry air from the vent nearby.
Starting to get into hoyas a bit, this is a common one I guess (got it from garden centre).
Thought it may look nice with a bit of wire guiding it‘s way.
Maybe some hoya nerds can say if this wire thingi is ok with hoya or do thesr need wooden/organic support?
Youtube says that guidance helps these plants growing

Tense? Watch this guy propagate plant cuttings for almost two hours!
I'm always so suss when people in the hoya group have species that I can't find in shops here... did you do a sneaky import? Hrmmmmm.
Another search shows that someone actually got a cutting from Australia to the USA. So maybe people are just sharing cuttings and keeping it rare? HRMMMMMM.
Rude! (It's a Hoya inflata, very cute flowers. I really would love to obtain one! )
